Of the residents said that they read their neighborhood publication every month, cover to cover
Said that they have used a business that advertises in the publication
Said they would more inclined to use a business that supports the magazine by advertising, than one which did not
Said that they keep each issue longer than two months, with many of them claiming they keep them all
It’s not rocket science. When a printed publication is thoroughly read-over (and held onto) by a neighborhood of affluent homeowners, a golden opportunity exists. We are proud to offer local businesses a simple way to land in the hands of ideal customers each and every month.

Social media is one of the most popular activities users engage in online. By connecting with residents through digital remarketing, we allow our partners the opportunity to interact with their target demographic and build brand loyalty online. Digital remarketing complements the publication by providing additional exposure to the target demographic. People want to do business with people they know and trust. By using our integrated approach, we allow our partners the opportunity to create a connection and relationship with the residents of our neighborhoods through multiple touch points.
We have found that the communities we work with are viewed as private and exclusive. Therefore, our social events provide a unique opportunity for both our residents and our partners to build community connections.

"We can’t wait to receive Hill Section Life in the mail each month to learn more about our neighbors, nearby restaurants and local events. The magazine promotes a sense of community by tailoring its contents to our own neighborhood. That's why I'm both a reader and a contributor."
Barbara L., HS resident
"A terrific magazine! We love it and read it cover to cover each month! Thank you!"
Camille M., Rolling Hills resident
"Rolling Hills Living contains human interest stories that neighbors are interested in and are inspired to read. The subject matter is void of advertorial nature and generic articles that you can find in any regional magazine. Reading about the residents featured in our neighborhood publication gives you the same feeling as having a conversation with your neighbor standing in your own driveway. We read it cover to cover each month and we love it! Thank you!"
Carol H., Rolling Hills resident
"Life on the Avenues has quickly become the “Talk of the Town” in our community. Although the magazine is presented as a glossy and glamorous society magazine, its warm and homey contents create a beautiful hometown newspaper feel. Congratulations and continued success!"
Dave and Patty B., Avenues residents
"My life is extremely busy. I own a business, am a mother to two active kids, and I’m involved in various charities and organizations. I simply don’t have time to read any magazines. Yet, I read Hill Section Life cover to cover each month and look forward to receiving it. Everyone in my family actually reads it and we all love it! In fact, we just returned from a three week vacation and had a stack of mail almost three feet high. I searched through the pile to find Hill Section Life and then I sat down and read the entire issue. It’s wonderful! Thank you!"

"I look forward to receiving my monthly copy of Hill Section Life and reading about my neighbors. Although I’ve lived here for 18 years, I really didn’t know many of my neighbors until this great publication came out. I find it really enjoyable and interesting to read about them, their families and achievements. My daughter wrote articles for the publication and was able to use this experience on her college applications. I also really appreciate seeing the ads from local businesses and have used several of them, always with a good experience."
Greta J., Hill Section resident
"I’d just like to congratulate you on a wonderful magazine! It's been exciting to turn the pages and read real articles about the faces, places and spaces within our community. Keep up the great work of keeping our neighbors highlighted with each edition and keeping us informed as a community."
Heather H., resident
"Although we did not initially see many calls come in that referenced our ad in the publication, we have since measured our business revenue in this neighborhood and it has increased 330% over the last 3 years! Amazing! The average revenue per job has grown, in addition to the numbers of jobs sold in this community. I view this great neighborhood publication as the “must do” to enhance the presence in a targeted community. It’s truly a branding magazine that converts prospects into customers, over time. If we do a great job, it spreads through the neighborhood and the revenue grows dramatically. Thank you so much!"

"We look forward to receiving our copy of Rolling Hills Living each month and I regularly hear very positive feedback about it. Being a resident in our exclusive community, we do get bombarded by various companies sending us flyers in the mail, but in my opinion, everything else is just junk mail. I am much more interested in reading about my community, our neighbors and various things that impact us directly. Keep up the great work!"
Joy M., 20+ year resident
"Our Hill Section magazine is fabulous! Kudos and thank you! It is such a great idea, and so much so that it made me wonder why no one had done it earlier. (Always the mark of a good idea!). The layout and quality are both impressive. I always read it cover to cover – looking for people I know."
Kathleen K., Hill Section resident and freelance journalist for the Wall Street Journal and New York Times
"My family and I look forward to every single issue of Hill Section Life magazine. And candidly, we're a family that historically doesn't have time or interest in local publications. We love Manhattan Beach and, even more, we love living in the Hill Section. And as many are in today's world, our busy lives don't always make it easy to feel and be connected with our neighbors. Hill Section Life is one way we have to make that connection. And it's not just the articles introducing the people that connect us; it's the excellent businesses advertising which reminds us of what our area offers, and the stories that inspire us to do more in our community."
Kim and Cletus B., Hill Section residents
"This is just a gratitude note to thank you for the excellent Rolling Hills Living magazine you publish for us. Everyone I talk with says they enjoy it tremendously! Your articles are informative, interesting and so colorful. It’s very fun to read! It’s always delightful to learn about all the talented and interesting neighbors that we would never know about without your stories and publication. So, as the self-appointed spokesman for the silent majority, I send great appreciation and thank yous!"
Marion R., Rolling Hills resident

"Several years ago, I jumped at the opportunity to advertise in a neighborhood where I wanted to grow my business. Since then, I've added additional neighborhood publications because they have made such a great impact to my business! Every year I list countless homes thanks to my exposure in the neighborhood newsletters and I'm looking forward to working with them for another decade to come."

"I have lived here for many years and wanted to let you know that I think what you’re doing in the Hill Section neighborhood is fantastic. Your monthly publication keeps us up to date on all the happenings in the area and the families and people in the neighborhood. As residents, we really do trust the businesses that sponsor Hill Section Life with their partnership and their ads. In fact, I’ve already called 3 businesses just this week!"
Pat S., Hill Section resident
"I advertise in several neighborhood publications because they takes me straight to my client. Many magazines claim to have “x” readership, but with my ad each issue, I know all of the residents see it each month, because it is their children and their backyards in the publication and they are reading it. These beautiful, well-designed neighborhood publications help blur the line between business relationships and family/friendships. They help strengthen loyalty of existing clients as well as give us a chance for great referrals in the neighborhoods we are already servicing."
Paul Frand, Landscape Architect

Hill Section Life is a well-written, professional and high-quality publication that has garnered the interest, attention, and enthusiasm of Hill Section residents and has raised the community togetherness and spirit in the neighborhood."
